I've been playing these songs in my live set for about two years now, but it just so happens that I got around to recording them on St. Patrick's Day weekend. The first two are Scottish, covers of the traditional folk band Silly Wizard, and can be found on their amazing 1978 album Caledonia's Hardy Sons. The last song, She Moved Through The Fair, is a traditional Irish song that has been covered by many artists. My version here is mainly influenced by the 1963 a cappella version by Anne Briggs and the 1968 acoustic version by Fairport Convention, which was also based on Briggs' version.
